Our Hammerhead Ammo is an excellent choice for hunters using steel revolvers with “standard length cylinders” such as the various S&Ws, and Ruger Super Blackhawks, Bisleys, and Vacqueros. It is also a fine choice for those shooting the “long cylindered” Ruger Redhawk, Super Redhawk, Taurus Raging Bull, and Dan Wesson revolvers.
This ammo provides excellent trajectory, penetration, and overall impact-performance for all big game out to at least 100-yds. Due to the super-accurate Hammerhead bullet, this ammo is fully capable of delivering 1” groups at 50-yds from accurate revolvers. Full body-length penetration is the norm on all big game up to about 1000 pounds. This ammo is the only commercially available 44 Mag ammo generating 1200 ft/lbs of energy that is fully compliant with SAAMI maximum average chamber-pressure specifications.
