Designed to be full power and SAAMI pressure compliant, this new 250HH load gives tremendous killing potential to the 44 Special. The Garrett alloy, coupled with modern powders, and the best lube money can buy, allows us to get 1000fps with a 250gr bullet within SAAMI pressure spec. Our new 250gr bullet has a .300 meplat, (the 310/44's are .320), testing has shown remarkable penetration. The meplat does the work and for this weight of bullet around these velocities, the .300 meplat is the best compromise. Elmer Keith thought so too.
