Our 44 Mag 310-gr Hammerhead Defender Ammo is intended for those shooting the super lightweight S&W 329PD, S&W Mountain Revolver and the Titanium Taurus for protection from predators, large and small. Our SuperHardCast Hammerhead bullet delivers very deep penetration at the reduced velocity of this load, and can be depended upon to shoot through the skull and dig deeply into the body of any bruin, and do so with moderate recoil.

Long-range effectiveness in compromised so as to significantly reduce recoil and increase shooter control. Since defensive shooting is invariably done at close quarters, and there is no significant velocity loss on the way to the target, the moderate velocity of this ammo is more than adequate to deliver an extremely lethal blow. As with all reduced-recoil ammo, follow-up shots can be managed more swiftly and accurately, and this can be critical in any skirmish with a predator. At close range this ammo delivers fully 80% penetration of our full-power 1325-fps Hammerhead Ammo, yet generates far less recoil.
